Spring may have actually come early this year on the Outer Banks. We enjoyed some very warm days during February, and March seems to be starting out with much the same.Perhaps with the luck of the Irish, we have escaped the worst of the winter?s wrath. The President?s Day weekend holiday brought a nice turnout of visitors and homeowners to the beach.During the holiday weekend we had clients exploring the best the market has to offer during the holiday weekend. There are some amazing deals out there right now, and we hope to help our clients take advantage of them.
Inventory is up just a hair along the northern beaches, from this time last month but so are the number of closings and properties placed under contract. In fact, the number of residential listings under contract is up by 17% compared to this time last year.Overall, inventory is dramatically reduced from this time 3 years ago. Most signs are still pointing to a market on the brink of stabilization. We remain optimistic that 2011 is going to be a good year!
