October 2015 Recap

The month of October was exceptional along the Outer Banks. Fall has become very popular for visitors, and we saw tremendous turn-outs for the Parade of Homes, The Duck Jazz Festival, and the Seafood Festival. The weather cooperated, and we continue to enjoy mild fall temperatures.

With the rental season at a close, we are now in home repair season. If you find that your place needs some work don’t hesitate to ask us whom we recommend. We are always happy to help.

In national real estate news, the months of September and October saw a decline in pending home sales. Locally, however, the trend towards an improving market continues. Many buyers are acting now to take full advantage of low rates and more affordable prices. Along the Outer Banks residential sales are up by 12% this year, while total sales have jumped up by 56%! We continue to see decreased inventory, and we are more optimistic than ever.

As always, we hope all is well and that the upcoming holiday season will be an enjoyable one for you and your family.
